The unknown bloggers challenge

I got tagged for the unknown bloggers challenge by Nabila.

 The rules are:

If you are nominated, you are challenged to do it. 

You have to nominate at least 5 followers with less than 100 followers themselves. 

Morning or nighttime person?

I prefer the night but in the morning I get up quite early. So both, I guess.

What is your biggest accomplishment?

Either how far I've come with my blog or saving up for Peanut and Totoro.

What is your blogging goal for this year?

To reach 30 followers.

Did you celebrate easter? If so what did you do?

I'm not necessarily religious but I celebrate easter and eat chocolate.

If you could talk to anyone alive at the moment for 30 minutes who would it be?

What is your favorite genre of book?

Dystopian is cool and I love real books too.

A DIY Makeup Expedition

It was the first day of the Easter break and my younger sister and I were bored. We had made a den and done some potato printing but apart from that, we had been restless. I was on youtube, scrolling through my "recommended videos" tab when something caught our eye. It was a video titled; "Eating eyeshadow for lunch". In this video  a girl called Brin has a palette of eyeshadow and continues to eat it. As the video comes to an end, Brin explains it was edible multipurpose makeup.  

We were curious about this so we decided further research it, and, from various youtube clips created a not too perfect formula. If you want a tutorial hop over to HWIMI, my sister's blog.

Here are some of the pictures I took. The girl is my sister. The blue on her lip is the makeup. I think this is great makeup for younger children as the colour is not bold and edible.

Wage Gaps

I was looking through Youtube (like you do), when I found this video. I clicked on it not thinking to be interested (I'm not really a football person), but this shocked be. I, personally, don't think this is fair.

Jules Spector, from teenfeminist.com, wrote on her blog:"In the 2015 Fifa Women's World Cup, team USA (whoo!) played 7 matches, had 97 shots on goal, scored 14 goals, and had only 3 goals shot against them. Oh, and they came in first place in a 5-2 win against Japan. 
In the 2014 Fifa Men's World Cup, team USA played 4 matches, had 41 shots on goal, scored 5 goals, and had 5 goals shot against them. They came in 16th place. 
The USA Women's Team played 3 more matches than the Men's Team, had 56 more shots on goal, scored 9 more goals, and had two less goals shot against them."

The winners of the Women's World Cup earned $2 million where the men earned $9 million.

Taking apart

As you know, I was in a blogging slump. Not only was I inactive with my posts but also towards the blogging community and the wonderful friends I'd made. I got wound up and annoyed and couldn't concentrate. None of my posts were 100% and that frustrated me. As Morningtime4 said, the best thing to do is deconstruct. Take away.

Taking away. Geometric shapes minimising and adding on. Stopping and considering the forgotten reason we started our blogs. We, the young bloggers, in our own corner of the internet calling to someone out there; "We have something important to say, please listen,"

I'm sitting on a beanbag, surrounded by the comforting messiness of my room, remembering this blog's purpose. My fingers ache from endless typing trying to get my words to come out the right way, give people the right impression. The evenings gloomy glow makes me finally appreciate the world around me.

Communicating with others is something I do little yet often. I talk to my close friends a lot, pointless babble not anything important. One thing I need to work on is making more friends, but this time I need to find them on my own in this magnificent journey that is life.

A thing I have recently discovered is that however little attention you draw to yourself, someone will always notice you, people that you envy will turn out to envy you.

For now, I think I should appreciate the little things, see the best in people and find my blogging mojo.

So today, im reviewing grungy music recommendations. The list I got this from was labeled as goth-friendly which sounds unusual so im reacting to them for your enjoyment.

Makeup Hypocrisy

I have recently been getting into gothic fashion and something I associate with this is darker makeup. For example, the type of makeup worn by Adora BatBrat or Siouxsie Sioux. I find this style fun yet beautiful.

Recently there has been a lot of negative rejection of this culture. Like stereotypes such as  you must be thin, you must be curvy, you must spend ages putting on makeup so it looks like your not wearing any, you must not be a man and look feminine. I do not agree! The gothic culture has become popular recently but people are looking more like gothic barbies than whatever they set out to be when they decided to go this direction.

I don't mean to generalise, but one view seems to be about expressing yourself while the other seems to be about matching up to the standards of pleasing society and the opposite sex.

I dont agree or disagree with either statement.

Aesthetic

Okay, before i get started, I know Noor did this post already, so don't get at me for copying her. I even have screenshots to acknowledge that these posts exist.

Anyway, im not copying, im taking inspiration.

The definition of aesthetic is concerned with beauty or the appreciation of beauty. It can also mean a
set of principles underlying the work of a particular artist or artistic movement. In this post we're not really focusing on the latter but your aesthetic is what you want it to be so you could always but more detail in to that one.
