Reasons you should read TMI

Howdy people of the earth and internet!

Today I'm doing a post on my favourite book series ever. The Mortal Instruments series. This post in inspired by Adi's post here where she talks about TID, so today I'm going to talk about the books that came first (but are set after, if you know what I mean). Meet your new obsession...

This book is about Clary who's mother has been kidnapped and while trying to find her she discovers she is part of this half angel, half demon race called Nephilim (Shadowhunters / Demon Hunters). There is so so much more to it but I can't talk about it because... well, spoilers. So, why TMI?

1. If you have stop mid series, how can you NOT keep going. I mean, the books get better and more heartwarming and beautiful and amazing. How can you NOT want to know what happens next?

GIPHY Originals what huh wut gross

2. This series has every mythical creature you can think of. Werewolves, Vampires, Warlocks, Fairies, angels, demons and of course the shadowhunters.

3. It's not aimed at a certain gender. Yes, I know whether your a boy or a girl, you can read what you like but usually the cover art ect is aimed for each. This book is completely for any gender (as is any book but ya know...) which is awesome. I mean you will love Jace Herondale Wayland Morgenstern Lightwood whether you are male or female.

4.  The plot twists are reaaaal! Seriously this book is full of plot twists. The end of the first book a pretty obvious one but the rest are just aahhh!

plot twist

5. Cassie Clare is an amazing writer! Her books are just wow! Cassandra Clare writes so many awesome books!

6.  And last... MALEC. If for nothing else just read for Malec.

Sooo that was my attempt to push (well maybe shove) you into the most complicated fandom ever (after superwholock).

Byyeeeeee!

Have a nice dayyyyyyy!

Book Blogging Olympics Tag

Ciao gente della terra e ad internet!
Today I have created my own tag inspired by the awesome Vivian from Day-Dreamer Night-Thinker.
Credit to her for the picture and the main idea!

The rules of this tag:

- Link back to me (Edie) and Vivian
- Thank the person who tagged you and explain the rules
- Answer the bookish olympic questions
- Tag people!

What Team? Team GB!!!

If you could compete in an event with two fictional characters on your team, who would they be? Most likely Alec Lightwood cause he's a shadowhunter and awesome and Hermione Granger because she's clever and has a wand.

Which sport/event from a book would you add to the olympics? Shadowhunting for sure!

Olympian you most admire and a character that is similar to them? Probably Fu Yuanhui because she's so quirky and has so much support for her teammates. And for a character like her, Isabelle Lightwood from The Mortal Instruments!

What fictional sport do you want to learn? Shadowhunting (obv. TMI, TID, TDA) or Assassinating (Jk. Morbid I know, Throne of Glass)

Summer or Winter Olympics? If Summer, what's your favourite book set in summer and vice versa. I think I prefer summer, so The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson or Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare.

Ever been to see the Olympics in person? What book would be as satisfying or as boring as that? Yes actually! I saw the London 2012 men's football. COHF was a book I found satisfying!

(Satisfied - Hamilton)

That is all! I tag everyone! Now enjoy these gossip girl then and now pictures!

Byeeee!

The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson

Hello people of the earth and internet,
Today I am going to talk about the amazing book, The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson!

Title: The Unexpected Everything
Author: Morgan Matson
Published by: Simon and Schuster
Publication date: 3rd May 2016
Pages: 517
Genres: YA Contemporary/Romance
Format: Paperback
Source: YALC Stall

This book is not what I usually read but I was pleasantly surprised! It is about a Andie Walker, a dog walker in Connecticut. (Who noticed the pun?)

This book is longer than the other contemporaries I have read before but I managed to finish it within 4 or so days. The story goes really quickly and this book is just so awesome! I give this book 4.5/5 stars because it only just about lived up to my expectations. I still really recommend it!

Andie's father is an important congressman who has been involved with a scandal, meaning he is taking a break from an upcoming election and home for the summer. Ever since her mum passed away, Andie and her dad haven't had a good relationship with each other. Throughout the book, you get to see their relationship change which is really fun to read about!

Not only is this about healing a relationship but also a romance! This book is all about friendship, family and love!

As I've already said, I thoroughly recommend this book! I hope you can pick it up when you have the chance!
